DeLaneau AngelHeart Watch - Richard Mille Watches

Geneva-based watch brand DeLaneau has revealed a feminine new timepiece, whose luxurious dial unites the charming themes of angels and hearts.  

Presented in an rectangular 18K rose gold case set with 411 round brilliant diamonds and a crown topped with an emerald cabochon, the DeLaneau AngelHeart shows of an unusual and extremely beautiful dial.  Upon a black-enameled rose gold base set with 230 diamonds in a ray pattern are two rose gold "wings" decorated with translucent green enamel and diamonds, which may be opened or closed by operating the crown.  This function is controlled by a Frédéric Piguet self-winding caliber, with a specialized module for the wing movements.  Power reserve of the movement is 54 hours.

Regarding the AngelHeart design, Cristina Thévenaz, Creative Director of DeLaneau commented, "I like that we have combined the symbol of love with the two wings of an angel...the small seconds display is the heartbeat of the piece, and it's protected by the wings."

The DeLaneau AngelHeart watch is fitted with a strap in crocodile leather, and features sapphire crystals.  DeLaneau will also offer a wide range of personalized design options, enabling each AngelHeart to meet the unique desires of the client.

MB&F Appoints Serge Kriknoff As Chief Operating Officer Opens MB&F North America - Ulysse Nardin Watches

Ultra-exclusive watchmaking brand MB&F (Maximilian Büsser & Friends) has appointed Serge Kriknoff as Chief Operational Officer and partner.  Kriknoff brings with him considerable experience in the luxury watch industry, having served as the Managing Director at G&F Chatelain SA, a supplier for specialized watch cases and buckles, among them those for the MB&F Horlogical Machines No. 1 and No. 2.  Prior to that, Kriknoff had been Production Director at Harry Winston, and Quality Director at Breguet/Lemania.  He has also served as the head for Research & Development at Piaget.  

MB&F has also recently inaugurated a North American office to serve the growing numbers of MB&F watch aficianados in the United States.  Stephen Hallock, an active member of the online horological community, is serving as manager of the new operation.  Hallock's duties include cultivating awareness of MB&F watches, deepening relationships with existing clients, and facilitating relationships with retailers and the luxury industry press as an MB&F brand ambassador.  

In other news, MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser wishes to assure devotees of the brand that the development of the anticipated Horlogical Machine No. 3 watch is progressing well, with a presentation planned for late October.  Deliveries of the first HM3 watches should take place in the first half of 2009.
